Who We Are?
The We Initiative Foundation (TWIF) was founded to help nonprofit organizations solve capacity and resource issues to help them better achieve their missions.
By leveraging technology solutions, TWIF is dedicated to building capacity for nonprofits, improving outreach and engagement, and freeing up time and resources for essential programs.
The first We Initiative
Organizations are finding it increasingly more difficult to recruit and retain volunteers, particularly with younger generations. Managing a volunteer program is also becoming increasingly more expensive, requiring more staff time and other resources. TWIF is working with WeNaturalists, a social platform, to build a robust global volunteer ecosystem that improves communication, management and engagement of current volunteers and attracts new participants to key projects and needs.

Pooja has 23+ years of experience working in the tech industry, playing a wide spectrum of roles as an engineer, team lead and technical lead. In her current role as a Sr. Software Engineer at Bloomberg, Pooja is responsible for client interaction, understanding their pain-points, developing and implementing solutions.
Amit Banka founded WeNaturalists with a simple motive – to bring equal opportunities to the nature professionals and organizations from across the world. Apart from being an entrepreneur, he is also an ardent nature lover, wilderness explorer, and bird photographer.
